The most deceptive idol is ourselves as ...we remove our Lord and Savior from the throne of our hearts and put our thoughts in place of His Word. How do we do this, you ask? Anytime we start a sentence with, "I think that" or "I believe that" followed with something that contradicts what the Lord of Hosts has said in His Word.

By allowing our opinions and thoughts to supersede those of God, we have declared Him and the Word of God to be a liar, which should not be so.

Things like "I think It's ok to lie occasionally" or "I believe that it's ok to listen to the kind of secular music that is suggestive of things I don't believe in doing because the words really don't affect me" or "I believe that sex of any kind outside of marriage between a man and a woman is acceptable" are contrary to the Word of God and given over to sensuality and in agreement with the god of this world, which is satan.

It's time for the church to stop blending in with the world and to once again come out of Egypt and stop allowing anything that exalts itself above the Holy One of Israel.

2 Corinthians 10:5We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
